  1. budyalo,

There's a good article at eHow on steps to take to begin tackling your debt.  I don't think it makes much difference as to whether you're in or out of the country to begin taking care of things.

    Take a look at it:

You can also look here for tips on earning some extra cash online:

  2. You should just stay out of the country cause once you come back you're a dead meat...

  3. Declare bank rup. if it doesn't matter

  4. Hi,

I used "Credit Solution" to settle my debt and improve my credit score. They managed to reduce my debt up to 58%.It's legitimate. I came across this company on NBC News Special Edition.Check it out here:

  5. Can't you just make the monthly minimum payment??  You can visit the company's website to make a payment or call their toll free international # or even their collect #. Most companies list those #'s on the back of the credit card or on their website.  If the payment is 30 days late it will hurt your credit.  After about 60 days late to 90 days late they will really start pesturing you to pay and it will go into collections.

  6. let the company know.. Also, u should start thinking about going bankrupt..

  7. Well for starters, once you leave the country, the statute of limitations on the debt is tolled (the clock stops running) and will restart when you return (no matter how long it is).

They can get a court judgment against you and this will be reported for 10 years and in most states the judgment can be renewed for another 10 years.  HOWEVER!  In order for a court summons to be legal, it must be properly served.  If they can not locate you, then they can not serve you.

Most major credit card companies will just take the debt and "charge it off" of their books, then sell it to a collections agency for pennies on the dollar.

If our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan can get access to the Internet, then you should be able to do so also, then you can just go on line and make your payments.

Just forgetting about it won't make it go away.  And don't forget the interest will accrue and in 10 years you will owe a lot more then $6000.

    Hope this answers your question

  8. If you declare bankruptcy then it will be gone from your credit in 7 years and you will not be back to use your credit in 10. I would go that way if you can. Look on line for a bankruptcy attorney in the last US state that you lived in and explain the situation and he will be able to get the ball rolling for bankruptcy court or he will direct you in the best way for you to handle the matter. Best of luck.

  9. just forget about what u owe, I did it
