I owe for running a stop sign while i was visiting a friend in texas i live in tennessee ?

do i have to pay it, retorical but do i have to pay it or if i dont what will happen sense i live out of state can they still send me to jail or how does the extriditing process work?

  1. if you dont pay it then they will keep fining you, and if you still dont pay it there will be a warran t out for your arrest. so i say just pay it and save your self the hassel  


  2. Yes, you have to pay it.  Your license could be suspended if a cop in TN pulls you over and runs your license.  One thing they check for us unpaid tickets in all 50 states.

    There will also be a warrant out for your arrest, so if you get stopped again in TX, you'll likely be arrested.

  3. Most DMVs have reciprocity with other states.  There is a chance TN will suspend your license for failure to appear in TX.  

  4. Most states now have agreements with other states. If you don't pay a fine in one, you could still lose your license in the state where you live. Better to pay the fine and go on with your life than wondering all the time what will happen. Next time, stop.

  5. You're not going to get extradited for ditching a traffic ticket.  There is a decent chance though that if you're in Texas again and have your name run that a warrant will come up for not paying the fine/going to court.
