I owed money from 2007 taxes.. will i still get my stimulus check?

  1. They'll apply it to what you owe.  If there's anything left over, they'll send it to you.


  2. Nope. The State will seize your federal stimulus check for back taxes.

  3. The IRS....will explain your odds...on their website...

  4. If you paid what you owed when you filed your taxes, you should get your stimulus check.  If not, they will deduct the amount that you owe from your stimulus check, which could be all of it, before issuing a check.

  5. The Stimulus will first be applied to the amount you owe and if there is any amount over what you owe the IRS will send you a check.  The IRS will also send you a letter telling you how the Stimulus funds were applied and if you still have an outstanding balance.
