I own 50% of a company in the US and I may need to travel to the US to work, to visit some clients, and so on. I am not planning to move to the US, I just need to travel and work during the week and then come back to Montreal for the weekends.

- The company name is Justecom Inc

- I am Canadian permanent resident

- I have a B1/B2 visa.

- I live in Montreal

Questions:

- Do I need to get another type of visa to go and work to the US?

  1. you need not take a visa bcoz you can visit u.s as a tourist at the weekends.iam not sure about this.

  2. why don't you just sell your share and then open a company in montreal..?

  3. Yes, you need a different visa. The type of work you are referring to would fall under gainful employment and cannot be done legally in the US on a B1/B2 visa.

While in the US as a business visitor, an individual may:

Conduct Negotiations; solicit sales or investment; discuss planned investment or purchases; make investments or purchases; attend Meetings, and participate in them fully; interview and hire staff; and conduct research.
