  1. Preventive maitenance is the key. I have a 93 K2500 suburban with167000 on it, a 94 K1500 Z71 pickup with 198000 on it and a 91 C2500 with 100000 on it. Ive been a Gm fleet mechanic for 15 years and have seen countless vehicles with more than 200000 miles on them.Change oil and fix it before it destroys something else. The thing will last a long time.

Oh, and all three of my vehicles are on the original drive trains. No engines or transmissions have been changed.

  2. it all depends on the driver... if you take care of your car your car will take care of you

unless you own a dodge ram in the years 98-99
