  1. its your drive so go ahead..only problem would be if you started selling burgers there..your nieghbours might be put out about the van parked there but as long as your not running the bussiness from the drive they have no come back

  2. of course you can..kept my burger van on my drive for years with no probs

  3. As long as you're not selling burgers from it of course you can.

  4. Check in your community covenants, it may specify pizza vans only. It may even say no commercial vehicles at all.

    Good Luck,  ;-)

  5. Hi This is not as straightforward it seems. You need firstly to check your house deeds even if freehold you might find a clause in the deed that prevent you from parking certain types of vehicle in your drive. For example in my freehold deeds it prevents the parking of any sort of vehicle which is used for commerce, of any sort. If this is the case the neighbour can object and you can have problems.

    Good luck.

  6. as u own the house yes its ur property there's nuffin any 1 can do

  7. It would be polite to ask your neighbour first. They may get a wee bit annoyed by the stench and petrol bomb it!

  8. Apart from not selling burgers from it, I reckon it could possibly be not something your neighbours want to see next to their property.  If it smells at all - and I love the smell of fried onions with my cheesburger! - that could be another reason to complain.

The best people to ask about this (if you really feel brave!) are your local Council, but find somewhere else to park it first if you need to, just in case the answer is no.

Other than that, the deeds to your house (if you own it) could have a covenant in them specifying that such a vehicle is parked behind the building line (and therefore out of your neighbour's sight) or not parked there at all.

  9. If you own the house and of course then the drive also, you can park any vehicle that you own, providing you don´t sell the burgers whilst it is there. Your neighbour may not like to look at it, but there is little they can do as long as it does not go over the boundry between yours and theirs.

  10. Some councils forbid you from keeping a commercial vehicle in your drive. Check with the council. An English mans home is no longer his castle in these days of the morally superior race. ( Council Zealots)
