Is it even possible to hook up an adapter to my television? I'm lost. Also, I've read some dated info regarding the PS3's audio issues when the HDMI cable is used. Is this still an issue? If I need an adapter, how do I go about using the HDMI on my television while using my stereo receiver for sound? Any help for these issues would be greatly appreciated.

  1. It is better to use seperate cables for audio from audio output of your system. HDMI cable gives you better quality picture rendering. when you use seperate cables for audio, disable audio through HDMI using the system menu of your player.

Check whether you have an HDMI port on your telivision system

  2. I hate to be the barer of bad news, but your tv is not a true 1080p television.  You can use Component video cables and you will be just fine.
