I own a horse that is 3 years old and her rump is taller than her shoulders. What does this mean? ?

  1. It means her front legs are shorter than her back legs


  2. You need to stop riding her or go on a diet.  

  3. it means shes down hill-depending on how bad she might level out.

  5. You never mentioned what breed she is?  But at 3yo she is not done growing and may even out, it seems the front end usually has to catch up with the back end.  Or she may have a little less than perfect comformation

  6. You could maybe consult a vet, but would two front shoes on her two front hooves help? to level it out a bit? since she's only three, she could still be growing???  

  7. Since she is only 3 years old, she will still be growing over the next couple of years, most likely, she will grow to the point that her withers are at the same height or higher than her rump.  

    This is fairly common and isnt really something to worry about on a horse this age.
