the MIC (the first three letters of a HIN- Hull Identification number) is three letters, I would suggest looking again or taking a rubbing to see if there is a 3rd letter.

unfortunately before 1972 there was no set guidelines on hull numbers,

but maybe looking at the previous registrations maybe might come up with vessel, try your state.
