I own an old Saeco

I own an old Saeco Magic Roma, which I brought to the US from Europe. I believe the model is not available in the USA. A while ago the machine quit working. The motor that drives the brew group starts when I turn the coffee maker on, or when I close the door on the side, but the notch that moves the brew group seems to be stuck. It only moves a millimeter and then stops and goes back to its starting position, even though the brew group is not attached (for tests I disabled the switch at the door). Right now I cannot put the brew group back into the coffee maker, because that notch does not align with the brew group.
