So I bought an item and paid it with my paypal account. I used one of my credit card that I have on my account. I filed a dispute on paypal but the seller is not responding to any of it. Does anybody have this experience? How did the paypal decided for it?

I read somewhere that your credit card company can protect you from this. Does anybody have an idea how is this possible. As much as possible, I want to have someone who actually went through the process. I really need help and this had been giving me headaches for days.

Please, anyone answer me. thanks

BTW, is it possible that right after they received the money, they closed their paypal account? Oh no, i hope nowt. But what if the seller closed his/her account, how can I get my money back?

  1. Pay Pal along with Ebay has a system that they initiate whenever a problem such as this arises. Firstly, did you wait on the specified time to receive the item? Since you mentioned nothing about Ebay I will assume you bought the item elsewhere. In this case Pay Pal will try to contact the seller using the information they supplied. If they are unable to get that person to resolve the issue I believe they will try to recover the money on your behalf from the vendor site.

  2. Paid by credit card ask your bank to do a charge back on it.That will leave them owing pay-pal back.

  3. Contact your credit card company. Paypal can't get money from anyone unless they have money in their Paypal account. (This happened to me also)

    Good luck!
