  1. You can change the red.  You will have to use a primer first to cover the red, or the red will bleed through and change the new color's tint.

Have them tint (darken) the primer.  One coat of primer and two coats of new paint.  The dark - deep base - colors need more than one coat to work well.

  2. Give it some time.  Because of the high amount of pigment in red paint, it will take your red wall 7 days to fully cure.  It will continue to darken until that time.  You might like it better after a week.  Also - red takes at least 24 hours to dry between each coat so remember that if you decide to paint over it.  Good Luck.  I hope it grows on you.

  3. well change it if you dont like it and no it shouldnt be a problem

  4. YOu should use a primer first.  Have the paint store shade it one or two shades lighter than the color you're going to use.  Then paint with a coat of the color you want to use.  It should insure no "bleed-through" and takes less pain to cover.

  5. Are you sure you hate it give it two weeks and see how you feel about it then.  Seriously sometimes it is such a change and after a week or two it grows on you.

I would give it a coat of primer though before the eggplant so there is no red tint.
