I partitioned both drives and reinstalled on C. The C drive is avaliable but D drive has gone missing...It has the most memory on it! I have tried finding hardware, going into setup and the startup but have had no success. Can you please help!? What's going on?

*(I reinstalled windows and used the partition option to wipe both drives)

*(The computer can't detect the D drive at all, when I go into my computer the drive does not even appear as if it is lost)

Thanks

  1. Ok this is a fairly simple fix.  While you partitioned the D drive you most likely did not format it.  Follow the procedure below;

    Go to start

    click control panel

    Click administrative tools

    click computer management

    then on the right side find disk management.

    Find your D partition

    right click on it and format it

    restart and your D will be available

    Good luck

  2. you need to format it.  click start menu then right click on my computer and go to manage.  Go to the storage devices menu on the left, right click on the other drive, and click format. WHABAM!
