I pay my carnote b4 due date via moneyorder (postoffice, moneygram) my car was repossed can they do that?

I owed the lot 800 $ and taxes, i went to pay w/ cash and my car comes back on a tow truck (i wanted to cry) they said the bank said i never made payments i showed them the reciepts (kept all of them) proof of my payment and my car still was taken, is there any action i can take?

  1. If you still owed the down payment and taxes, you violated the contract and it may not be the bank that repoed the vehicle but the dealer.


  2. Go to you bank, get a print out of your payments compare them to your receipts see what they are missing. Call the customer service number on your receipts to get copies (Front and back) The problem with paying With money orders is it takes forever to get copies. Two get copies of what they are missing on the back of the orders will have processing information the bank can use to track down your missing payments.  Three go to the dealer and explain what happened, Trust me they don't want this thing back they want their money, and if the bank has not been paying them they might even help you with the bank.  Four make copies front and back of everything you give the bank last get a checking account stuff like this happens all the time, and it's a lot less brain damage to get on the phone or your PC and bring up what you need.
