I payed 720 dollars for new brakes and rotors at midas?

did i get ripped off?

comes with lifetime warranty on pads but i still got hustled didnt I?

labor = 198$ and parts were like 450$

If they were for all four wheels, then it sounds like it might be in the ballpark.

Rotors: ~$60 each -- ~$240 for all four

Brake pads: ~$55 each -- ~$220 for all four

you neglected to mention if it was all four wheels or just two. if it was just two then you did get ripped off. if it was all four then no, thats about right I would say. 450/4 = 112 dollars per wheel which sounds a little expensive, but it all depends on the car. I say for the near future, learn how to change your own brakes. its an easy job and saves a TON of money.

well as kind of high thinking when my wife does her own brakes as i do for parts price at autozone is well under that price.. i guess you should learn how to do brakes will take you about a hour to know how to do it.. you call any auto parts store and ask how much brake pads and rotors are and you will see how much you got taken

Maybe not. You don't say how many sets of pads, or how many rotors were replaced. Labor rates are going up, and car parts are getting more expensive.

too much!, why didn't they just turn the rotors instead of making you buy new ones?

Yikes, I can get 4 new rotors and brake pads for 169 bucks for my Saab, and the rotors are drilled and balanced. Seems like something more common would even be cheaper. I think the price is a tad high.

Yes you got ripped off. I can replace ALL of my rotors and ALL of my pads for 215.00 and do the labor myself. d**n that sucks to be you.

It sounds about right.  I know people that have paid around 800 for that.
