I've actually turned the car over to a used car salesman, and we're waiting on the title to complete the transaction (I've only received a portion of the fee). It's been well over a month since I paid it off. Honda kept telling me that the title had been shipped, but finally they told me there was a delay for an unknown reason, and the company that they commission to send the title still hasn't done so.

Do I have an legal recourse? I fear that I'm going to lose the sale of my car because they haven't sent it.

  1. dude my old ford taurus title took a little over three months to get to my house after i paid it off. Don't worry it will get there eventually.

  2. Report them to your states office of consumer protection or have your lawyer or a local consumer advocate give them a call

  3. They have up to thirty days to send the title to you after that check with your state's DMV department and they may help them expedite it faster to you.
