OMG I am sooo freakin embarassed. I'm a teenager, and yet I still pee in my pants when I laugh too hard. I always have to find an excuse to the reason why my skirt is wet or why my chair is wet. I'm not just talking about a little - I'm talking about A LOT. So much that you can see it running down my legs. Please don't laugh --

Ugh. I even wear like a huge thick pad and I use the restroom a lot before school/classes just to make sure I don't pee. I always end up peeing like a lot.. and it even goes through the huge thick pad.

No one knows about my problem besides my mom. She's no help at all. She's all like, "Grow up! Stop peeing in your pants." As if I can actually HELP it. I'm tired of making up excuses and I'm tired of this... problem. It's sooo embarassing. Any help?

What's wrong with me? How do I prevent this? Any information would be nice.

  1. this used to happen to me alot when i was in high school, i was really embarassed about it too, and honestly by the time I was like 16 it stopped happening so often. I have a really small bladder and i pee all the time, and always feel like i have to pee. It only happens every once in a while now, but i am able to get to the bathroom in time. Before what used to help when i was laughung was to hold myself really really hard. Like press your fingers really hard over your hole over your pants until you can calm yourself down from laughing. Hope this helps.

  2. My suggestion is that you should see your doctor and look in to your genetic family history to see if this type of problem has happened before. Also ask your family members if this has happed to them..

  3. you should see a urologist. (doc that specializes in this type of thing)

  4. I have no medical knowledge at all, but I looked up "incontinence" on Yahoo and this site came up:

    http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/...

It has TONS of great info on the causes of this condition, and how to deal with it [Kegel exercises!], and even questions that doctors ask in order to discern how serious one's incontinence is.

I hope I helped you. Good luck with this. :]

  5. you might have a medical problem there missy

  6. Try to urinate more than you do right now. It's normal for people to leak when they laugh really hard, especially when they're bladder is almost full.

  7. I pee in my pants but not alot just like a drip im sorry i can't help

  8. just say u trew water on ur pants lol

  9. I have the same problem. Even when somthing isnt reallt THAT funn it just happens. Its so embaressing and really incomfortable to where a giant pad all the time. -sigh- I really should tell my mom about it. :-/

  10. It can be an overactive bladder, and if you will go to the Urologist there is something that can be done for this condition. and your life will be different. I am sorry that your Mom  does not know about this condition, there are many others that have it. and are helped. You may need to inform your Mom, by showing her the answers you get here. Then she can help you by taking you to the Doctor. This is not something that you can do by yourself, however there is help

  11. you should really see a doctor you have some pretty serious problems 'down there' no joke...i dont want to scare you...no need to be...but i think you should get it treated...

  12. You poor thing. My friend had the exact same problem. Stick with wearing the pads for now. But i suggest to try to practise pelvic floor exercises. They will help to strengthen your bladder. Also go to the doctors, they wont laugh at u, its quiet common.

  13. Well,If your mothers no help is there anyone else in your family  that you could talk to...If not maybe you could talk to your counsler or nurse at school about your problem, but you really need to go to the docters and get yourself checked out.

  14. definitely try kegels!

plus it will make your vaginal walls tight and strong for that special someone. wink wink

  15. The first answer was very good.

As she said it's very common.

"Pelvic floor" exersises can strengthen all the muscles down there.

There will be instructions on the internet ( mostly to do with the other benefits of this, all those muscles are related ). You already know how to do it, it's a natural thing, just clench, think of a time, maybe before you go to bed, it will be easier if you're relaxed. and do it at that time every night, as much as you can without it making you feel discomfort. Several quick ones and a few where you hold it for 10 seconds. (Difficult!)

Also there are specifically designed pads for this problem that might work better than what you've been using, I've seen them in tesco near the usual feminine hygiene products.

I'm sure you know this but don't wear tight pants / skirts / underwear, anything that will push on your bladder isn't going to help.

And wear dark coloured clothes that don't change colour when they're wet.

Don't "practice holding it" go to the toilet whenever you have the opportunity.

And go to the doctor! She'll have seen this loads of times and know exactly what to do.

  16. I have that problem too!

    Don't feel embarrassed.

It happens to a lot of ppl.

I dont know how to help u though... sorry..

  17. Actually, this is very common. You should go to see a urologist. This is normal believe it or not. You may still have a small bladder or it may flex on its own and give way...Please dont be ashamed. Id talk to your doctor or as I said go to the urologist.....again..good luck
