Question:

I peeled off some see thru plastic off my guitar. when i plug it into amp only static come out. What do i do?

The guitar i have is a Squier Stratocaster and a Fender Frontman amp. Also i might be wrong the amp also makes static noises when i just switch it on. and then i plug my guitar in and i try and play n all that comes out is static and little coiling sounds. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

  1. no worries about the plastic, that doesn't do anything execpt prevent scratching on the pcikguard. If your guitar is making static noises it's probably a wire that's broken. No biggie, any music store can take care of it. The wires are really really thin so it doesn't take much for one to snap, especially in squiers. It's usually a $20 fix.


  2. that might have been static shielding.... and if it was, it was a very dumb thing to peel off...

    take it to a shop
