What could be causing this? I'm 52 and have asthma, otherwise healthy I think. Does anyone know of any homeopathic remedies for this fluid retention?

  1. It would be better to have your problem diagnosed by a Dr. and see what's causing the swelling. Only then can you do anything about it. It could be a sideaffect of medication or heart problems.

  2. Decrease your salt intake.  You can also buy an OTC medicine to help decrease fluid retention.  They are relatively inexpensive and can be found at the local Wal Mart.

  3. Check with your doctor.

What works is low impact exercise like slow walking, soaking feet in epsom salt, and eating a little less salt.

Eat plenty of cucumbers, carrots, and celery, because they pull extra fluid out of the body.

  4. synovial fluid?
