if i get the iphone can i use the gps and wifi and stuff like the camera without getting the phone activated. I have a ipod touch but would like the camera and gps in one and the other stuff thats on it

You'd be wasting your money.  The GPS is cell assisted GPS meaning that it also uses cell tower triangulation when the GPS signal isn't clear.  You'd need the phone activated for that to work. $500 bucks would be a lot to play with hand held WiFi toy with a camera.

Yes I believe so that you can without the phone activated. I think I read it somewhere. Your best friend is always google!
