So I've flown A LOT but it's not really something I enjoy at all. I've had a couple really smooth flights that were great but that's realllly rare for me. Last time I flew, I encountered the worst turbulence I have ever had (and we were flying above mountains which made it much worse) so I was terrified. The entire time I was on that plane (it was about a 2-3 hour flight) the turbulence was reallly bad and I was picking out my hair because I was so scared. I'm really freaked that it will happen again..putting my hair in a ponytail or braids doesnt help..I pick out my hair when I'm scared or stressed! Im scared just thinking about. Any tips or reassurance would be greatly appreciated.

P.S-I know turbulence isn't necessarily dangerous but it still freaks me out!

  2. Talk to you doctor. He can prescribe a sedative. I don't recommend using alcohol. Hypnotherapy may help.

Me? I've been married 23 years. I'm not afraid to die.

  3. I think you should see a doctor. They can prescribe something to help calm you and refer you to a therapist. If you don't have time to do that before you go on your flight, put a rubber band on your wrist and every time you want to pull at your hair snap it. The rubber band helps remind you not to do that behavior.
