  1. Don't listen to people that tell you not ever pick a QB first pick.

Brady threw for 50 TDs last season.

He is in the weakest division in the NFL and the Pats only play 4 teams that had winning seasons last year.

He threw over 250 yards in 13 out of 16 games last season.

He threw for at least 3 TDs in 12 out of 16.

So, maybe he doesn't have as good a season as last year.

Maybe he only throws for 40 TDs and 3,500 yards.

Someone would have a hard time explaining to me how picking up a QB like that would be a mistake.

  2. its stupid that it lasted that long to get there but anyway that was a great pick its good that you got him

  3. It does depend on your league's settings, but taking Brady at 3 is not the safe move.  However, you haven't killed your team.  Brady probably won't repeat his numbers from last season, but he will give you solid production and he won't miss games.  You had just better make sure your don't miss on your RB picks later in the draft.

  4. It would depend on how your league scores. Are TD's worth 4 or 6? If he has the same stats as last year then no, but he will probably have worse stats and could still end up being the top overall points scorer in FF. It would be easier to evaluate how else your team played out and who you skipped to take Brady?

  5. Maybe...

I honestly think time will tell...

    Is it risky??? Yes...

Could it totally kill your chances??? Yes...

On the flip side, it COULD guarantee you a championship this year...

I personally wouldn't have taken him that high, but I'm not much of a risk taker... While I'll finish high, I may not win... You have a much greater chance of finishing poorly, but you also give yourself a higher chance of winning...

  6. Heck No !!

  7. Well that depends on the settings in your league. If you are in a league that gives 1 point per 10 yards and for compleations in addition to TD's then is is a smart move, but if you are in a league that is a standard Yahoo fantasy league then you would have been better off going with Steven Jackson, Brian Westbrook or one of the other top RB's. It also depends on what the rest of your team looks like and if you were able to some how get Randy Moss. The QB/WR combo in fantasy can win games for you even if the rest of your team isnt real strong.

  8. absolutely.yes.

never! ever! pick a QB as ur 1st pick. "why is that?" u ask?.. thats because there are many QBs that can be taken around 50th-70th picks (bugler/mcnabb/hassleback/delhomme/etc) that can produce very elite numbers.

your 1st pick MUST always be a RB. thats because elite RBs are very few and they are very productive. so you should take them whenever you have the opportunity. instead of going with a QB.. as the 3rd overall pick.
