I picked up a rock of natural salt from a salt mine. How do I turn it into table salt for my fish & chips?

  1. It depends on how pure it is.

    If it's pure enough, you can just grind it or pulverize it.

    If it has lots of impurities, try dissolving it in water, let the impurities settle, draw of the salt water and let it evaporate.


  2. you boil it  then when all the water has gone you should have purified salt left but look on the net for more details

  4. A nice lump hammer will break it down nicely....And retain its true taste..

  5. Break it into little bits then put it in a salt grinder.

  7. Boiling will not work. First it will not purify it, and second, when you are done you will have a layer of rock on the bottom the pan.

    If it is edable, just crush it.
