  1. rub the area with disinfecting iodine, then seek medical attention as soon as you can. Depending on the level of disinfection you used for the needle, is the risk that you took for getting an infection. The nose have very sensitive nerve endings and because your presumed piercing abilities you could have injured one of them

  2. You can get infection. I think you must ask for a doctor's recommendation. Maybe bacterias can get on your nose. Just one comment, take care of your nose, because our nose is the first breathing organ. If our nose is gone, we can't inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide.

  3. Sounds like you hit a nerve. That's not normal at all. I'm not sure if you can fix that, but I wouldn't keep the piercing in.

  4. Hopefully you'll never do this again.

I just got my nose pierced not that long ago, it's totally healed now, but numb and tingly is not what it should feel.  It should feel tender if you're touching it but you shouldn't feel numb.  Like others have said, you've probably hit a nerve.  I'm not sure what the care of that is, other than you might want to see a doctor.

However, for care until then, you need to be rinsing with antibacterial soap (like Dial, unscented) multiple times a day.  Wash your hands first and then wash your nose, being sure that you're moving the stud or ring up and down so that you can get some of the soap in there.  Rinse thoroughly and get all the soap.  DO NOT use any creams or peroxide or alcohol.  Those are meant for abrasions, not puncture wounds.  Stick to only antibacterial soap and you'll be just fine.

  5. i'd have to say self piercing wasn't the way to go, like others have said here. Generally, that isn't normal just be sure to take care of it to avoid infection. Also, don't worry that it's not normal it'll be fine.

    instructions:

For the first week of the piercing wash 3-4 times daily with an antibacterial soap. After each wahing, apply a small amount of anitbiotic outiment (i.e. Neosporin or Bacitracin) to the piercing. When washing & applying oitnment, make sure to move the jewelry back & forth to break up germs and to allow the ointment to get under the skin. Stop ointment treatment after 1 week & continue to wash with soap. When showering, allow the water to trhouroughly cleanse the area. NEVER use alcohol or peroxide on a piercing!! This will prolong the healing time and possibly lead to infection!

  6. Noo thats not normal !!

  7. you shoudnt of done it your self ,,,,its more likely that its getting infected.

  8. Thats pretty normal but be evry careful with this piercing.  It gets infected very easily because its on your face and touches a lot of things and it is nasty to get rid of the infection.  Make sure you rinse it with salt water twice a day and you should be fine.

  9. ::rolls eyes:: Self piercing isn't a good idea. Put some alchohol on that thing and you should be good to go.

  10. sounds like you hit a nerve.

was there pain when you pierced it?

and DON'T ever clean a piercing with alcohol.

only use sea salt and warm water.

  11. um...no i don't think sooo

even though i don't have my nose pierced.my big sis dose

but she never mentioned anything bout her nose fellin num...hmm

  12. you could get an infection.

  13. i've had mine done for like 2 or three years...umm it could be normal for you..i really wouldn't take it out if you want it..unless you can tell it's infected which will turn red and stuff..

wash it with sea salt (can get at a groc store) 3 times a day..

    don't touch it..

and i took my piercing out and cleaned it every few days..

which they told me not to do but i did anyway..

my friend got hers done before me hers never healed

mine healed like a month later..

    good luck
