I plan on getting 2 or 3 rats, where is the best place to get them?

I live in Massachusetts, and I tryed to find breeders, and babies in shelters near me, but I couldn't........

get them from a pet shop to save them from getting ate by snakes.thats where i always get mine.i hafe two at the moment good luck with ur new babies they r awsome pets

Get them from Petsmart.

Petco doesn't take care of the animals really good.

Have you tried craigslist.com or petfinder.com?

They usually have rats in need of homes.

So many oets need to be rescued

Kim's Ark Rat Rescue is the place I would recommend. I went through them to get my rats.

I'd recommend breeders or a rescue as opposed to a pet store. Mass breeders send rats to pet stores often without good genetics in mind, and many of the less desirable rats end up as 'feeders' for snakes and other animals.

Most times the rats from Kim's Ark are free. You just have to sign an agreement to care for the rats.

DO you  guys have PET SHOPS?

you find alot of PETS there.

if you guys dont have any, you can go to a vet. they sometimes have animals you can adopt. Or if you have a friend that has two rats, boy and girl, you could get their childs!!
