I planning a trip to Vietnam and I've never been there. What does the country have to offer?

I'll be going with a friend in early July. I would love to shoot some photography. What places can I enjoy, avoid?

  2. No,you shouldn't goes to Vietnam on that time because July is the rain season in South and summer in North and it is also the summer vacation of Vietnamese family.The weather in July is quiet bad.You should travel to Vietnam from October to April is the nice time!

    If you like the tropical beaches so you can visit Nha Trang,Mui Ne or Da Nang .If you like mountains so you can visit Dalat,Sapa;v.v...so much interesting places in Vietnam.

    For photography opportunities consider:

    Hanoi, Sapa, Halong Bay, Hue, Hoian, Nha Trang, Dalat & Central Highlands, Saigon and Mekong Delta.

    Don't worry about landmines where you'll be going.  Landmine areas are well marked.

    Rebel's, the "Future Jarhead", comments show he doesn't have what it takes to be a Marine.

  6. Historical places that you can't find anywhere in the world.

    Dalat is beautiful city and still has some area that has not explored.

    Hue- A capital of Vietnam during King Nguyen with 200-year-old imperial architecture, dozens of pagodas and temples

    White Sand beaches in Nha Trang.

    Hanoi -the capital with a millennium-long history and classic monuments.

I would recommend going to tripadvisor.com .  The forums there will answer most of your questions and give you some tips on some good hotels too.  There is so much to see it is hard to list.  Ancient monument's, beautiful beaches, fantastic food, friendly people, safe traveling and reasonable prices.  Have fun.  Cheers.
