  1. I'm not sure where you live but the leaves do turn mahogany red in the fall...if you are in a climate zone that has started seeing cooler weather than this could be the reason for the color change.


  2. Your trees still have not taken root, it is probably a lack of water causing the tree to go into shock, and draw it's nutrients back into the roots. Give this tree water, lots of water, daily. Fertilizer should not be needed, but it is beneficial, especially for a new tree.
