  1. Not neccessarily - they like moist/damp soil - make sure the ground is moist at all times.

    It may die off and come back next year - mine did.


  2. no, just give it some time. When I started germinating

    my popcorn, it took longer for some to germinate

    than other, so I would suggest just giving it some

    time....
