The starts are very weak and wimpy and I wonder if I should start over or should i let them get stronger before I transplant? I live in Hawaii and it is very hot and sunny so I started them inside. The soil got too wet so some of the seeds didn't start at all. Any suggestions?

  1. Long "wimpy" sprouts are the result of not enough sunlight.

Gradually give them more light, and a weak fertilizer.

Also - carrots are best started in the ground.  They get very grumpy when they are transplanted.
