  1. I play flute too and I have also felt doubt abouty whether or not to continue playing.  However, the flute has given me the greatest pleasure in my life so far.  I have played in a wind band who have won gold awards at scottish and british championships.  it is a wonderful gift.  REMEMBER: you don't need to practise all the time, do your homework and practise your flute for pleasure.  Please don't give it up.  You may regret it in later life.

  2. well thats really up to u. if u like playing the flute than you'll just have to make to time to play

  3. I am also a flute player. I think it's a great idea to continue playing, especially if you're the best in your group. Having music in your life opens many windows of opportunities. You meet lots of people, learn the language of music, and not to mention continued playing could lead to great college scholarships! Music is great to keep around. Keep playing!!!

  4. if you really enjoy it, then you should keep playing. if its something you wouldn't miss if you stopped, then stop.

  5. If you are good, and you like playing, you really should keep on doing it. Lots of people grow up and are really sad that they never learned an instrument or that they stopped playing. So really think about it before you act. Also, if you have already gotten that far, it would be a real shame to stop and let all that hard work go. So think about it first.

  6. Playing music is a great gift. I suggest you continue, especially if you like it. Does being the best make you want to be better, continue playing or no feelings either way? If playing music (flute, guitar, harmonica, banjo, etc.) makes you feel good and you are relaxed or it takes stress away, continue because it will be a  good getaway later in life. Reading music can lead to learning other instruments and playing for fun.

I have a fond memory of going on a picnic with a large group of people and a cople of the people played and sang. All the kids would sit around and listen to them play and sing as the sun set and it was such fun.
