Well there are presumably three digits from 0-9 right?  So the odds of your number getting picked is 1:1000.

So on average if you cover both numbers you should hit once every 500 draws.  Of course that is an average, you could hit them both in 5 draws, or you may have to wait 2000 draws.

I once had to wait two years for my number to finally be called; the odds are the same for each draw. It may hit three times in a week, or not at all for an entire year, you never know.
