I play to a 5 handicap what driver is better for my game, the titleist D2 driver or the Hybore XL?

It doesnt matter which club you choose, they are both very similar, it just depends on how the club feels to you! I know my dad has a hiBore, and he hits it good off and on. I prefer the titelist!

To kinda add to what Brian said...



Don't think about just the clubhead- look into shafts, as well.  Depending on the shaft/head combo, you could get some crazy-good results, even if you think the clubhead isn't the "one".  

Get fit by a pro on a launch monitor (if possible).  That will tell you which is truly for your game.

If you hit it 230, I would definitely not go with the Titleist.  It performs great at higher swing speeds, but maybe not the distance king.  If you hit it straight, the Hybore is fine, you'll get more carry.  Also, hit the new Ping-G10.  I hit my driver (Callaway) 275, with about 250 of carry.  The Ping gave me the same distance, but much more carry, and almost no side-spin.  Warning- The Ping is a seriously ugly bat.

OK heres the deal with golf clubs. 1 have you hit both the clubs before and I mean actually hit the clubs like more than just 5 balls apiece.  2 How did the clubs feel to you when you hit them.  and 3 did either club give you the launch angle or ball flight you are looking for.  What you need to do is take some time with both clubs hit balls not so many that you get tired though because you wont get a good feel for the club that way and decide what you think is better that way.  Personally I like the D2 better because it seems to be a little more workable for me and has a smoother feel to it.

if you were longer off the tee id say go with the d2 because its more of a big hitters/ low handicapper player.

Still u should just try them both out because you may find out you like something in the other you can't see from an ad or article.
