I play as an attacker, i can play anywhere in front. You won't see me jogging around with the ball pretty often, i usually give some very quick sprints and dribble past almost eh whole defense to give an assist to the striker or to shoot myself.

So during a match, after like 10 sprints, each like 40 yards, i have the burning feeling in my legs and my lungs are getting tired. I mean, it's not about my stamina, because i jog everyday, but i don't know what's wrong.

I am 15 and i think i have a future in front of me in football. So can you give me some advice on how to be able to perform at my best during the whole 90 minutes?

  1. your just tiring yourself out..cuz i run about 2 hours a day and that happens to me when i try to run harder or faster

  2. sprints are always tough, and if you only job you are only working out your slow twitch muscle fibers, try doing some plyometrics, like box jumps... to increase the strength of your slow twitch muscle fiber.

  3. first stretch then you have to do 20 20 yard wind sprints on your toes (or more if you can) with 30 sec in between when you train. after that stretch again to loosen up and finish up with a 2-3 mile jog. when you jog to much you will lose explosiveness

  4. GATORADE!!!!!

Take it easy. Drink plenty of fluids to keep you going. Sometimes energy drinks help to. Just don't have to much.
