  1. http://www.criticalbench.com/increase-ve...

    http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/bbinfo.p...

I've been doing the exercises on those two websites and it's helped me a LOT. I used to have no vertical whatsoever and I haven't measured yet but I can tell it's getting better!

  2. squat  down and pretend your reaching for the sky

  3. wear weights on your ankles

  4. here's a list of excersises that will help!

-jump rope (a lot!! it should be your best friend =)

    -squats

    -lunges

    -running up and down hills

    -running up and down stairs

    -calf raises

and practicing your approach a lot helps too!

    good luck!!

  5. Have you ever heard of plyometrics? There are lists of plyometric exercises online for the sole purpose of jumping higher. One list of these exercises can be found on http://www.sport-fitness-advisor.com/vol... Hopefully this website helps you.

  6. http://www.storksvolleyball.org//volleyb...

that website explains a lot of different ways to improve your jumping

    good luck

  7. When you are brushing you're teeth, using mouth wash and/or in the shower do calve raises. That increased my vertical by about an inch, also our school have these things we call boxes. They're these platforms that you jump on and they get higher and high and you start flat footed and you jump onto them. Do leg presses to build muscle in your legs, and lots on jump roping!

  8. Well firstly make sure that you're willing to practice whenever you can.

Exercise during normal activities. You don't have to make a big deal of it. Walk on tip toes sometimes, it helps increase vert.

And of course, exercises to improve jumping!

Mini hops!! jump a little off the ground, over and over without hopping. Jump rope is great for this..

Squats, calf raises, stand in 1 spot on tip toes for 2 minutes, start stretching. Load your body with some weight before jumping, like jumping with a medicine ball. Ankle weights will also help..

Jump jump jump, and good luck! =]

  9. Wear ankle weights while you are playing then after some time take them off and yoiu shoiuld be able to jump higher will probably take a few months though at least

  10. Getting your vertical higher takes work but the drills are easy! The best way to jump higher is to jump! Try these (I used them)

If you have stairs in your house strap on ankle weights and jump from the floor onto the first stair. Start with one foot, and after one minute switch. After another minute do both.

Wall sits are good for strengthening your legs!

I wouldn't recommend weights during practice, it's challenging enough and you could hurt yourself.

Walk around the house with ankle weights on!

The stairs one worked best for me!

  11. You need to work out your legs....ankle weights will help some but do wall sits.....calf raises.....leg curls....don't go heavy...do more reps with less weight...you want to increase your vertical not your leg mass.....also jumping on and off a bench (sturdy one please) will help too. It's not going to happen over night it will take some time. Also make sure you have the correct form when approaching and proper technique when blocking.   Good Luck
