I play water polo. and my friend has a gnarly shoulder injury. what can i do to help?

it popped out of the socket 8 months ago and the pain is worse than ever.

what she do? other than ice

  1. I am an x-water polo player with the same problem.  I didn't listen to my doctor and I still regret it (my injury was about 7years ago).  I have lost strength and mobility in my right shoulder.  I can not lift my arm above my shoulder very well.  I don't know what will help with the pain other than a topical cream.  Tell your friend to take it EASY for at least 4 or more months.  I know its hard now but the consequences will be worse if they don't.

  3. gently stretch it, and start to use it again i would think.

    nothing hard though, light workouts, like a physical therapy thing.
