  1. Go see anther doctor, it may be related to MS or your Brain lesions or something else I do not know, But either will you unless you get the tests done, see a doctor that is willing to help you understand your problem.

  2. My best mates MS started with numbness in her feet, then her speech went funny before she was finally diagnosed. Have you had a lumber puncture/spinal tap? If not put pressure on your doc to make sure you get one.Its relatively quick and easy and will give you the answers you need. Also, i know its hard but try not to stress too much as if it is MS, stress is really bad for you. My friend is on medication for hers now (tysabri) and its like a miracle. Good luck and remember, keep on at your doc!

  3. Diagnosing MS can be very difficult, a neurologist who specializes in treating MS should evaluate your symptoms. As many as 10% of people diagnosed with multiple sclerosis actually have some other condition that mimics MS. Examples of other conditions that masquerade as MS include inflammation in the blood vessels, multiple strokes, vitamin deficiency, lupus, or brain infection. Sometimes stress-related disorders can lead to a misdiagnosis of MS

An accurate diagnosis is based on your medical history and a neurological examination . It is rare that MS is diagnosed with the first attack. Many times it can take months and years to diagnose.

I have had MS for many years. I have numbness in my hand and tend to drag my right foot a bit. Your symptoms are similar to MS, but as I said before , the lesions could be caused by other things as well.Good luck and try not to stress too much. If it is Relapsing Remitting MS it could be months or years before you have another attack. It has been 8 years since i had a major attack.

  4. Get another Doctor, make a list of all your symptoms and all lthe questions you want to ask. There are other conditions that cause brain lesions and general practitioner Doctors will not usually make a diagnosis but send you to a Specialist. Please ask to see you if you have not already been referred.

  5. get another doctor. why won't your doctor make a diagnosis? is he or she waiting on test results?
