I posted personal information about my family online and they found it... What can I tell them?

I posted personal information (full names) about my family on a forum a couple of years ago and my cousin found it.. he emailed me and my other cousins about it and I don't know what to do. The forum doesn't allow login any longer. I don't want to tell everyone it was me. Should I give them an excuse (if so what can I say) or tell them the truth?

What would possess you to post such vital information online for the entire world to see?

You can contact the website and ask for new log in because you forgot your old and see what you can do at that point.

Is your cousin wanting to know if you did it?

I guess what you tell them (as an excuse) is based on what it is... Truth is best because eventually it always comes out.

maybe u can tell u need they advice to give guideline in how to handle ur family situation because u dont like them look stress
