I provide service for both NY & NJ in my corportation, do I need a sales ID for both states?

I'm trying to start my own company. If I provide service for both New York and New Jersey states and my small corporation is based in New Jersey, do I need a sales ID for each state? Any other information or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you actually go to both places and do work, then yes certainly you will.  If you just ship to both places, or they come to an office you have then probably not.
