  1. I wouldn't.

The three weeks that I did breastfeed and nurse I was really anal about it and I never mixed from pumping sessions.

My milk never lasted more than a day anyhow, but either way, I wouldn't mix milk.

I wouldn't keep it in the fridge longer than 24 hours either.

  2. yes

Take a look at this link it has some info. I don't see the problem though, except for you might waste some milk. Considering Tuesdays has to get used by the time Mondays does. I have heard of only freezing milk in 2 oz to 4 oz amounts to save on waste, depending on how much your baby eats at once. =)

  4. You can but then the milk from Tuesday is only good as long as the milk from Monday (8 days from Monday so 7 days from Tuesday).

If you are like me and only pump for the rare night out when you will not be gone more than 4-5 hours here's what I do.  Pump it all into one container in the fridge, when I go to the sitters I tell her to leave it out at room temp (that way the fat recombines).  Its good for at least 8 hours at room temp and can be heated at least twice (if baby cares whether its room temp or warm, mine don't)

  5. yes, but: if Monday's is frozen, the milk you add should be a smaller quantity than Monday's milk, otherwise the liquid would thaw the frozen too much.

also, if you do that, tuesday's milk then "expires" when monday's milk does (after 8 days in fridge, 3months in separate reg freezer) (1 day earlier than it would have if you stored them seperately), which may or may not be a problem.

  6. no. well you can if you want to, but my sister never did if for some weird reason.

  7. I did only when I needed to to make a full bottle.  I did keep it seperate when I was freezing it though.

  8. You can mix Monday and Tuesdays milk together. But that means Tuesdays milk will expire on the same day as Mondays does.

  9. I'm not totally sure, but right now I'm having to pump because my little one is in the NICU. And they told me no matter how much I'm able to pump, label it and freeze it. Even if its only an ounce. They don't want it mixed.

But perhaps there isn't actually anything wrong with mixing it, thats just how the nurses at the NICU where my daughter is have asked me to do it.

    Good luck!

  10. Yes you can as long as baby hasn't eaten off of it.

  11. yup, its totally fine, im a part-time pumper, I only work 2 days a week, sometimes it takes 3-4 pumping sessions to get a bottles worth
