I purchased a Dazzle DVDRecorder

Question

I purchased a Dazzle DVDRecorder to convert our home 8mm tapes to DVD's. It seems simple enough. I plug the sound cables & video cable into our video camera and then into the Dazzle. I put the Dazzle USB cord into our computer and I also put the USB cable from my burner into the computer. You can see the video appear on the screen and it says that the DVD is burning but after over an hour of "burning", I suddenly get an error and it stops. This has happened 3 times. What am I doing wrong?
