Carfax works great, I would let the dealer know that you want to cancel your purchase unless you get the history...they should have that.

there should be a 800 number for mercedes in your manual..call them..they will need proof of ownership, they can give you a copy of all service records.

He's full of it. The service is stored in the Mercedes Service computer database and can be printed out at any time. If he's not a Mercedes dealer, I wouldn't buy it from him. That car is expensive to repair and maintain and is worth getting from a dealer as a CPO, certified pre owned car.
