I put Metamucil down my sink, it is now stopped up. Help!?

I have tried a whole bottle of Drano Liquid Max, and hot water. The water is going between the sink and disposal side, but not going down. It isn't budging. Is my only next step to take off the trap?

Stop all the nonsense about pouring acids and everything else down the dam sink.  First try the plunger method as mentioned above and if that doesn't work just take the trap off, hose it out and put it back on.  Takes 30 minutes, even if you don't really know what you are doing and just have basic plumbing skills!

All that other stuff just pollutes the environment (or your septic system).  In fact if you have a septic system NEVER use any of that c**p.  It will quickly cause damage to the septic environment.

first try using a plunger to work the clog in the drain, make sure you have water in the sink to make this work.

then, go to your local hardware store and buy an industrial strength sulfuric acid, read the MSDS on it first, then put water in the sink and pour it in...... always remember acid in to water, and not the other way down.

put a lid over the drain trap and walk away for a an hour. wallah the drain will clear itself.

Um wow...ok I think that would be your only choice left.....I knew someone that would take an air compressor and fit it tightly in the drain and turn it on, it would blow the clogs out with no poisons. and sorry but that is pretty funny....why would you put that down your drain knowing how it expands with water....sorry, lol

take two pieces of cloth (enough to plug both drains)  With one side plugged with the cloth, pour baking soda followed by vinegar.  Allow to bubble a few minutes.  Pour hot water down the same one and use the cloth as a plunger.  The key is, to have that other drain sealed.  Do the same down the other one.  Good Luck!
