  1. clean your records and buy a new stylus

  2. Turn the end of the arm, thats the counter-balancing weight till the arm starts to lift then turn the weight a little bit till it starts going down,if it's marked with numbers turn to 1.5 to 2.5 on the reference mark(a little line drawn on the arm, that should stabilise the arm to rest lightly on the record.... the CD ,mp3 has already been invented!

  3. Jump off the nearest bridge.

  4. Try a new needle or if its a proper deck get a new stylus

  5. First of all you should not put a penny on the leg/arm... If you have an old fashioned or professional record player then it will have a balance weight on the end.  If not then you require a new stylus/needle.  The reason you should not over weight is that the needle/stylus will ruin the record and it is made up of one long round groove and lots of tiny grooves that the stylus reads.  Too much weight will eventually start to flatten these beyond repair.  Too little weight will cause jump and skip.  A blunt needle/ stylus will also cause jump and skip as if the point is not sharp enough it will not sit properly in the records groove.  Hope this is some help.

  6. Get it a rope

  7. 2p

  8. come out of the stone age and get a mp3 player
