  1. You might have a leak somewhere,or you just didn't put enough freon in

  2. I'm going on the assumption you ment you put in freon (r-134) and your not talking about antifreeze you put in the engines cooling system.

The A/C system has a leak.  Put in some leak sealer with leak detector.. Maybe it will seal the leak up or if not you can find the spot that leaks.

  3. First of all, the only thing to put in your radiator is water or anti-freeze, the free-on or whatever they use now, goes into the ac unit itself.  You will have to take your car into a garage, because the coolant is restricted as a ozone killer and will have to be handled by an A/C professional.  Good luck.

  4. LMAO @ antifreeze for the A/C!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Good one! Oh wait your serious aren't you? That's just sad.

  5. What a bunch of clowns.  If you read her post instead of jumping to conclusions you would have figured out what she meant.  Only BMWSGOD got it right.

You have a leak in your system somewhere.  Since it's a Chrysler product the good news is that it probably isn't your compressor.  It could be in the manifold hose set, condenser or evaporator.  Maybe the pressure valve as well.  The compressor could also have a leak but Chrysler Compressors hold up well.

  6. You need freon for your AC. Have a mechanic do it, not your friend (because freon must be handled by a professional) .Replacing your air filter helps too. Antifreeze is a different thing.

  7. antifreeze has nothing to do with the a/c

  8. You need to get your A/C recharged and or tested for a freon leak.  It's probably going to be a low freon problem. What you can do is go to Walmart or a parts store and buy more R134 freon which kits can also be bought to install the freon in the system. You have to figure out how much freon to put in, there's a a/c label under your hood that indicates how much. If your not sure and your a/c is blowing warm which means your a/c system has almost no freon just put 2 lbs. freon in it. Trust me, it's safe, I've done it many times. You'll hear from other people if you put to much in it will blow warm which yes it will but not with 2 lbs. What really should be done is to take your jeep to a auto mechanic and have him install the freon with some dye also. Whenever your a/c blows warm take it back to the mechanic who will use a black light to pin point the leak. Most common leak issue is a evaporator, the other is a condenser due to stones hitting it. Depending on how big your leak is it may be better off taking to a mechanic or just keep installing cans on freon in yourself. Regardless they're both costly. Hope this helps and good luck to ya!!

  9. ummmm... antifreeze has nothing to do with air conditioning. If what your friend did was put in freon...and the a/c worked for a couple days and then stopped blowing cold... then you have a leak in your a/c system. Your friend put freon in your a/c system. Not antifreeze. Antifreeze goes in your radiator. it is a coolant additive that keeps the liquid in your engines cooling system from freezing...hence the name ANTIFREEZE. Freon, or more specifically, R-134a is a compressed gas that, when circulated through your air conditioning system, will move heat from the passenger area of your Jeep to the outside ambient air. Your air conditioning system has developed a leak and all of your freon has escaped. Simply replacing the freon will not solve your problem. You need to take your Jeep to a reputable shop and have the leak repaired, then your system will need to be vacuum  tested and recharged.

  10. You probably need freon.
