I put discs into my CD drive and nothing happens?

I am recently purchased a graphics tablet and an installation disc I have been given, however when I put the disc in nothing happens, this is the same for every disc I put in whether it be video, music or installation.

Please help me.

try going to my computer and clicking on your disc drive from there
