I put in Highlights and then added color on after (light golden brown) to tone it down but now my highlights are green. What should I do to get the green out of my hair?

  1. I had this happen to me too but this was after months of having the highlights on my hair.  You need to go see a stylist immediately to fix it, don't put anything else on your hair because it will only make it worse.

  2. If you have just done this mix up  some baking soda and water into a paste and shampoo your hair and add the baking soda paste into your wet hair. Leave in for 10-15 mins wrapped in a plastic bag and if you can apply heat to the bag that would help. You will need to shampoo your hair a couple of times to get the baking soda paste out and your hair will feel dry so make sure you condition, condition, condition. My quess is that your hair was porus and your ends grabbed the green in the toner. You really don't want to go in and add another color over what you have right now.

  3. You should go to a salon. Blonde hair needs to be filled before adding color to it, that is why it turned green.  trying to fix this yourself would be difficult
