  1. ficus, whether a normal sized tree or a bonsai, don't like to be moved from where they are happy, period.... put it back where it was and wait.... continue to care for it the way you ususally do, and wait.... it will leaf out again....

  2. If you put a tree that is growing in a dark place into bright sunlight it is going to lose leaves.  They can get sunburned just like people. Sort of a getting used to it sort of thing.  They don't have the glossy coating on the leaves when they grow inside in the dark.   Put it outside in the shade, not full sun.  Besides if you bring it in in the fall you are going to have to bring it into a place with less light so just leave it out in the shade so it doesn't grow leaves that are used to full sun.  That way when you bring it in the fall it will not shed so bad there either.  If you put it in the shade right away it will be alright.  You may have sunburned some of the leaves but it isn't going to die from it unless the tree was in terrible shape to begin with. Good luck.
