I put so much salt in a piece of meat I was cooking. How can I take the salt off it so it is edible?

  1. if you are cooking it already, add some potatoes to the pot this will absorb some salt, if it is still raw, rinse it off.  If all else fails.....don't put salt in any of the other things you are serving it with.  This way the meat will have the most salt and the other items can be eating with the meat to improve flavor.


  2. you could put on more spices to try to mask the flavor of the salt.

  3. Rinse it lightly with water and throw it back on cook again.

  4. Sounds silly, but just wash it off under the faucet:)  You might need to re-season it with whatever herbs you were using then

  5. I've been told to put cut up potatoes in the pot with the meat or whatever is too salty. It's supposed to absorb the extra salt.
