I no longer have the really bad headache, that went away after 6 days. But I still feel really tired. In fact I slept 11.5 hours last night. I feel like I am walking around in a fog and I haven't had any caffeine in any form. How long will this last and is this still withdrawal. Yes, I lost 10 pounds but ....

  1. It took me a week to stop feeling sick and jittery after I kicked my soda addiction. But I'm not sure. Maybe you should drink caffiene, and then gradually have less and less.

  2. sometimes if you sleep to much, you end up even more tired. as for the caffeine withdrawals. I'm sure that's not what it is.. maybe your just sleeping too much...

try a little exercise. that will help give you natural energy without caffeine.

  3. your body gets hype when having the addiction long enough untill its toleant, then it needs it to stay normal, quiting it like that is just "messing up" your system, untill it cleanses out completely, and gets used to the normal life, itll take about 2 months to stop feeling any drowsyness during the day, been there done that haha

  4. Try taking vitamins, or eating energy boosting food like nuts, and fruit. Also Try propel, its not bad for you and it keeps you up and running.

  5. Yes your body is still technically going through withdrawels. While they are less frequent and noticeable than say the 3rd day but it usually take about 3 weeks or 21 days for you body to "unlearn" a habit or adjust.

  6. My guess is that you have been drinking soda longer than 17 days so stick with it.  Give your body time to "heal".

  7. Usually questions on yahoo don't get me confused, but your has me stumped. How many hours were you sleeping before ? more or less than 11.5 hours ? I've never slept that many hours in my entire life, except when I had pneumonia once. How much caffeine would you say you were consuming in a day ? I've heard of nausea and vomitting from caffeine withdrawal, especially when it has to do with coffee. Are you eating properly ? I'd say that if this continues more than 3 weeks, you'd better see your family doctor.

  8. Wow.  I'm really glad I don't usually drink soda.  Lost 10 pounds?  Maybe I should start drinking soda and then quit.... and lose 10 pounds?!!

Are you taking any vitamins or anything to help your body with this sudden change?  Sounds like you're going through alot just getting off caffeine.  You might want to call a doctor and see if this is normal for a caffeine withdrawal.  Good luck.

  9. Probably yes and no.  Addiction is a funny thing because it can be both physical and mental.  Your body can crave it, or it can be just something that becomes so regular that it feels funny when it doesn't happen.  If you want to keep off of it, just bear with it.  Exercising has been known to increase mental focus, so a brisk walk for about 20 minutes may help with the haze.

Caffeine is not that bad for you in and of itself unless there are other health problems like obesity or heart problems.  With sodas, the main problem is the insane amount of sugar and processed corn syrups and colors.  We really do put a lot of c**p in our bodies that there is no place for.  Do you like coffee?  You can drink it iced or hot, and there really are a lot of varieties to choose from. Different climates where the coffee beans are grown produce different flavors, so be an adventurer.  I have been on an iced latte kick lately (lattes are just espresso mixed with milk on ice, you can sweeten it if you want, use splenda if you are watching sugar intake).  You can get a good espresso maker for around 60 bucks.  If you are interested, check out the base model of the capresso espresso maker. at the website listed below.  I just bought one on amazon for 59 with free shipping.  If you don't like it strong, just don't use as much ground.

If you are trying to kick caffeine all together, you could try taking ginseng for energy, and i also heard that mixing a tablespoon of honey with cinnamon sprinkled on top is good for a pick me up.

And then there is always amphetamines and speed...

  10. Could be.

You may be inwithdrawl from caffeine.  the headace was caused by sugar withdrawal.

  11. you just brought youself bad news, i did that a year and a half ago and i am still tired!

  12. I haven't drank soda in two years now. Honestly, at first it was rough, but now I taste it and I think "God, did I really like this stuff?"

    It's worth it. Seriously.

  13. It might last for another 4 days.  It took me 21 days to stop feeling dizzy and itchy for caffeine...  Drink lots of water, if possible, just drink water throughout your day.  Also, get rest!  If you feel tired and if you can, take a nap, it helps a lot.  If it persists after 4 more days, you really should see your doctor.  Good for you for giving up caffeine!

  14. ok so u quit soda.

i should do that too. haha

try eating more apples.. they give u alot more energy than coffee does..

so itll help u not feel so tired.

and sleeping is good for you. you lose more weight sleeping than watching tv.

  15. congratulations. I did it a couple of years ago. I quit all caffeinated drinks. It lasted a year and then I I allowed myself to drink one here and there until I was hooked again. I want so bad to quit again but hate the idea of going through the withdrawls. Once you quit don't do like I did and get hooked again.

  16. i have the same problem to. I stopped ordering chicken nuggets at mcdonalds. and now when ever i go outside i get dizzy and faint. and dream about their comercials.
