I resigned from work last week, silly perhaps but I decided to leave because I am not happy at all. I was thinking before that I may be getting exhausted with what I'm doing but later on I realized that its total resentment. So even if I haven't gotten a concrete offer from a different company, I still left.

This is actually my 2nd attempt. The 1st one was last March. Just after a week, my manager called me and offered me a senior post in our department that I am to share with my former supervisor (and of course a good raise). I grabbed the offer with my new designation. However, I had issues with another supervisor, my former supervisor. We had some issues and we were not able to work properly together. We totally disagree with everything!

On my last day, I said goodbye to her. She didn't respond and she has a 'good that you're leaving' look. Today, I went there to do an exit interview, I saw her and she saw me but didn' say a word.

Is it unethical to not even say 'Hi' to her?

  1. depends are you nice or not! if your nice then you would say hi if not then you would snub her!

    either way it's more personal

  2. If you don't like her and she doesn't like you then you don't need to say anything to her.

  3. You should've been a bigger person and told her " Hi! How are you doing?" killed her with kindness.  So you would've felt better knowing that you did right.

  4. You will probably never see her again, so I wouldn't sweat it. If someone is rude to you, I don't think it's expected that you should be nice to them. You did what you thought was right in the situation. I wouldn't over analyze it too much.

  5. I figure what's done is done.  Sounds like the woman is a *****.  Perhaps no amount of working with her would have solved anything.  I hope you working there between March and now eased her load a bit, and now she is going to get slammed with work again.  Knowing she was a cause for you leaving, I'm sure her supervisor isn't going to be too happy with her either.

  6. You could have said hello.  Always take the high road.  It never hurts to be nice.
